5 ژ رنال کالب چیست what is journal club ژ ر بل كالة چ برچ ة قبثم ا ؼطبفي ثزاي آي سش ػه و پبی ي بر ت بي ثبنی ي است. In typical usage, a journal club is a group of individuals who meet regularly to critically evaluate recent articles in scientific literature. Usually organized around a defined subject in basic or applied research. Participants can voice their views on such topics as the appropriateness of the research design, statistics employed, the methods that were used, etc. The group might synthesize the results of several articles and discuss the usefulness of the results and potential application.

6 In a traditional, face-to-face journal club, participants choose topic, share current knowledge based on professional journal articles, and discuss implications to clinical practice. Journal clubs have been used as a medium to educate clinicians about the process of evidence-based practice. They have been recognized as an effective strategy to keep health care practitioners up-to-date with relevant literature. 12 Journal club goals کالب: ژ رنال اىذاف The idea of a journal club is that everyone reads a set of articles, and comes prepared to discuss them, bringing comments, criticisms, and questions they have about the articles. By the end of it the discussion, participants should have a better understanding of the articles, and a clearer idea of how they might use the articles in future papers or other work (like answering exam questions).

41 Are journal clubs effective?

42 Are journal clubs effective? The evidence is not very strong. A Cochrane review concluded that journal clubs probably do improve knowledge of biostatistics and clinical epidemiology, although the evidence base was small (Parkes et al, 2001). There is conflicting evidence on whether they enhance critical appraisal skills (Linzer et al, 1988; Alguire,1998). It seems unlikely that journal clubs encourage participants to read more.
